Amisha, we will never thank you enough for being a part of this. You’ve been a real partner to us throughout and your calm and insightful inputs have made a massive difference going through this. I hope many couples will have the same privilege we had and will have you along their journey to parenthood.

Thank you so much for all your help. You were such a massive help beforehand. You eased my mind about so many things and made me feel as prepared as I could be for the home birth. After baby was born you supported and looked after me too so I can’t thank you enough!

While giving birth you were so helpful. You remembered my birth plans and made sure everything was going smoothly. You even went the extra mile to make sure the atmosphere around me was peaceful and even had a diffuser which I did not ask for but helped me so much to concentrate during contractions.

My birth was a mind blowing experience. My baby was born in the sac which is extremely rare (1 in 80,000 births). Amisha held my hands all the way through which made me feel very calm while giving birth. I would definitely recommend her. She helped me emotionally, was there as soon as I needed her and helped me with exercises before going into labour.

Amisha helped me so much as I struggled with anxiety throughout my pregnancy. I was in labour for days and Amisha helped me through out. I am so grateful. She made me feel confident to refuse interventions that didn’t seem right for me. After my baby was born she supported me at home and even cooked me Sri Lankan food and helped me with my recovery.

During labour, doula Amisha gently reminded me of the important point that I had requested only female doctors in my birth plan (which I completely forgot in the moment), and tactfully let the midwife know. As a result, I had a great team of women including a female doctor for my second degree tear repair and felt comfortable at a vulnerable moment.

Amisha dedicated time to both preparing us for the birth and how it would be with a newborn. She was really supportive in the run up to the birth, and was on hand to advise us whenever we needed. And finally the birth would have been even scarier for us both without Amisha's calm and clear-headed presence.

We didn't have a clear idea of how it would be with a birth worker but working with Amisha exceeded our expectations. We really appreciated how flexible she was and how gently she got us to really think about what we were doing with useful inputs gleaned from her knowledge and experience.

As first timers, we loved having someone who has been through labour before. She was a real support to my partner during the labour in particular. And for me as the birthing person, having a trusted partner was great. Without Amisha I would have had no continuity at all.
